José Ricardo

José Ricardo, an effective jovem guarda interpreter who also recorded bossa nova and carnival music (that he was very much maligned), started while still a youngster at Rádio Guanabara, turning later on to Rádio Mauá. In 1958, he accomplished the 3rd place at César de Alencar’s display A Voz de Ouro A.B.C., on Rádio Nacional, Clara Nunes having gained second place. In 1962, he was employed by RCA Victor, where he continued to be for a decade. His 1st LP, European union Que Amo Somente a Ti (1963), experienced hits using the name song compiled by Sergio Endrigo as well as the bolero “O Travesseiro” (José Messias). For the reason that 12 months, he was appointed the Revelation of the entire year from the Revista perform Rádio (Radio Publication). Within the next 12 months, Ricardo had additional successes with “Somente Uma Saudade” and “Canção da Serra” (Evaldo Gouveia/Jair Amorim). Additional strikes of his are “Cantiga Por Luciana” (Edmundo Souto/Paulinho Tapajós); “Gina”; “O Homem Que Não Sabia Amar” and “Quando Digo Que Te Amo” (his variations of two jovem guarda strikes); “Meu Primeiro Amor” (Cascatinha e Inhana); “European union Te Amo”; “Eterna Paixão”; “São Coisas da Vida” (Raul Seixas); and “Poxa” (Gilson de Souza). In 1987, Ricardo performed in the U.S. (Miami, Philadelphia, Washington, NJ, and NY), Canada, and Israel. Ricardo also was an associate of the solid of Rádio Nacional and worked well for 3 years for Television Record (São Paulo), taking part in the displays Corte-Rayol Display, Esta Noite Se Improvisa, O Fino da Bossa, and Jovem Guarda.
