CCM singer-songwriter Jill Phillips was created and raised in Chesapeake, VA, so when a teenager studied piano, acoustic guitar, flute and piccolo, penning her 1st original track while a freshman in senior high school. Upon graduating from Nashville’s Belmont University or college in the springtime of 1998, Phillips authorized almost instantly to the term label, liberating her self-titled debut recording the following summertime.
