Jefe

Coming over the scene with street singles which were both sublime (“Free of charge tha Gang”) and ridiculous (“Awwsome”), rapper Jefe — who began his career beneath the name Shy Glizzy — first produced a rumble around Washington, D.C. after dealing with the hometown hero, Body fat Trel. Playing off Trel’s “Respect using the Technology,” Jefe (created Marquis Amonte Ruler) produced waves along with his “Disrespect the Technology,” leaving a cross-city feud that might be place to rest by using rapper Wale. A meat with Chicago’s Main Keef followed, after that Glizzy started to concentrate inward, releasing some mixtapes in 2012 including Regulation and Fxck Rap, while also developing his personal Glizzy Gang, an A$AP Mob-styled team of like-named rappers including Snipe Glizzy and Ant Glizzy. Regulation 2 found its way to 2013, featuring looks by Migos, Yo Gotti, Kevin Gates, and maker Metro Boomin. In 2014, Timid Glizzy released the Adolescent Jefe mixtape, which not merely produced his 1st big hit using the slurring and infectious “Awwsome,” but would also hint at another name transformation for the rapper. A remix of “Awwsome” with 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky implemented, as the melody peaked in the very best 50 from the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Music chart. After falling three following mixtapes, he officially transformed his stage name to Jefe on the close of 2016. His initial release beneath the brand-new moniker was “One,” which made an appearance on his EP, Globe Is normally Yours, which broke in to the Best 40 from the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums graph.
