Japanese Motors

Equally inspired simply by Richard Hell as well as the Beach Boys, Costa Mesa, CA surf punks Japanese Motors formed in 2004 and quickly became known for his or her immersion in surf culture and their raucous concert events. Vocalist Alex Knost can be an expert surfer who made an appearance in the browsing documentary Stage into Water; he also trips for browse/artwork/life style brand RVCA and proved helpful in their artwork department. He fulfilled guitarist Nolan Hall when their fathers proceeded to go surfing jointly; bassist Chris Vail and drummer Andrew Atkinson — a previous developer for Hurley — constitute Japanese Motors’ tempo section. With regular, and sometimes hedonistic gigs, the music group evolved from carrying out Iggy Pop addresses to launching the one “One Fins & Basic safety Pins” on Dark Lips’ Expire Slaughterhouse label. Japanese Motors agreed upon to Vice Information, who released a re-recorded edition of One Fins & Basic safety Pins in summer months 2008 and their self-titled debut record that fall.
