Jacqueline Govaert

Using a voice that’s both silvery and raw, Dutch singer and pianist Jacqueline Govaert was created in Kaatsheuvel, holland and began writing songs at age 12. As business lead singer and primary songwriter, she produced the English-language Dutch alt-rock group Krezip in Tilburg in 1997 while still in her midteens. The music group released an EP entitled Operate Around in 1999 and agreed upon with Warner Music the next year. Their initial full-length record, 2000’s Nothing Much less, featured the strike song “I’D Stay,” and topped the record charts in holland and Belgium. Pursuing comprehensive touring, Govaert required vocal cord procedure before the discharge of 2002’s Times SUCH AS THIS. After being fell by Warner, the music group agreed upon with Sony BMG and released the Dutch chart-topper WHAT EXACTLY ARE You LOOKING FORWARD TO in 2005. That same calendar year, their melody “Same Mistake” was highlighted in the intimate humor Het Schnitzelparadijs, the highest-grossing film of the entire year in holland. A more digital, disco-influenced record, Plug It In, found its way to 2007, and Krezip’s last album, Greatest Of, including three new monitors, implemented in 2008. Following the music group officially disbanded in ’09 2009, Govaert quickly embarked on the solo career, launching Good Lifestyle in the summertime of 2010. It strike number three over the Dutch album graph. The intimate Music to Soothe implemented in 2014, and topped the graphs.
