The original music of Ireland’s County Galway is preserved through the playing of Jack port and Charlie Coen. Surviving in america because the 1950s, the brothers always keep the music of their homeland alive. Their record, The Branch Series, recorded at Jack port Coen’s home in the Bronx, NY, and made by Mick Moloney in 1976, continues to be a highly valued sampling from the Coen brothers’ traditional flute and concertina melodies.
