Io Echo

The project of Ioanna Gika and Leopold Ross, Io Echo combines atmospheric synth pop with Asian elements including Japanese koto and Chinese violins. Ross, who also takes on bass in the best Pink, was released to Gika with a shared friend and quickly began writing tracks together, inspired from the Velvet Underground and ’90s commercial among other affects. The duo released their debut EP in Oct 2012 and gigged with famous brands Bloc Party, Nine In . Fingernails, Cults, and Zola Jesus. The next Apr, Io Echo’s 1st full-length Ministry of Like arrived, coinciding using their tour with Garbage.
