Infinity Shred

Brooklyn-based group Infinity Shred create epic stargazing instrumentals combining components of chiptune, post-rock, and sci-fi soundtracks. The music group developed out of Starscream, a chiptune duo comprising programmer Damon Hardjowirogo and drummer George Stroud. Carrying out a few produces, like the 2009 EP Potential, and IT GENERALLY DOES NOT Work (within the 8bitpeoples netlabel) and a break up 7″ with Anamanaguchi, very easily the chiptune scene’s biggest celebrities, Starscream self-released their debut LP, Potential, Towards the Advantage of Forever, in 2011. Offering efforts by guitarist Nathan Ritholz and bassist Kotaro Tsukada, the recording was heavier and even more ambitious than their prior function. Forced to improve their name for legal factors, Starscream became Infinity Shred (following the subtitle of 1 of their album’s songs), and included Ritholz being a full-time member. Pursuing 2012’s EP 001 (Gnar Wish), Infinity Shred’s full-length debut, Sanctuary, premiered by Paracadute in 2013. Stroud still left the music group and transferred to Berlin soon after the album’s discharge, and Clara Warnaar became the band’s brand-new drummer in 2015. Infinity Shred came back in past due 2016 with Longer Length (released by Adafruit), a far more aggressive album inspired by steel and intensifying trance. The remix record Even Further implemented in 2017, released by CONTACT LENS.
