The London-based electronic outfit Hp Productions were widely thought to be early progenitors of dubstep — these were the very first act to become labeled using the genre from the U.K. press — due to their sound sketching from 2-stage, techno, breakbeat, jungle, and, maybe most of all, the weightier part of reggae. They began like a trio of suppliers, led by central physique Benny Sick, alongside Nassis and Lev Jnr (aka Matt Horsepower). The three of these were in charge of the initial launch on now-seminal bass label Tempa; they continued release a two albums collectively, the partial compilation In Good Design in 2002 and their debut full-length, To the Save. The trio parted methods shortly after the discharge of To the Save, leaving Benny Sick to transport the torch single for nearly six years, until he was became a member of by newcomer Jay Ruler for the Kingstep/Damn It 12″ in ’09 2009. Wanting to assert their audio in the after that evolving scenery of dubstep, Nassis and Lev Jnr rejoined the group to create it four users. This year 2010 they started to concoct their second full-length recording, Search for Sonic Bounty, with the amount of active members raising to eight. In 2016 Hp Productions returned like a duo release a their third appropriate recording, Crooks Criminal offense and Corruption, this time around broadening their sonic palette to add details of Chicago home and the casual guitar line thanks to Harry Keyworth.
