Gramercy Arms

A revolving NEW YORK collective led by Dave Derby, Gramercy Hands screen a diverse, breezy power pop-inspired indie rock and roll center — not really unlike Derby’s most well-known music group, the Dambuilders — using a propensity to shift design from tune to song. The original lineup contained people of Luna, Led by Voices, and Deceased Atmosphere, while everyone from fellow ex-Dambuilder Joan Wasser (aka Joan as Law enforcement Girl) to Lloyd Cole to comedian Sarah Silverman have already been recognized to add their abilities. Derby provides intimated how the band could have a spinning account. Swiping the name of the ten-story building in the band’s house base of NEW YORK, Gramercy Hands released their initial record on Reveal Information in 2008. Made by Derby with help from Shudder to Think’s Nathan Larson, the record’s sharp, hook-heavy pop gained near-universally reviews that are positive for the music group, if not really a wide following.
