Globelamp

Globelamp may be the single task of Olympia, Washington-based vocalist/songwriter Elizabeth Le Fey. Her dreamy, poetic tunes are influenced by psychedelic folk aswell as glam rock and roll and ’90s grunge, having a distinctly Northwestern lo-fi indie sensibility. Originally from California, she started writing tunes and carrying out at small locations this year 2010. After shifting to Olympia, she joined up with cat-obsessed indie punks Meowtain, who released a self-titled recording in 2012. That same 12 months, she also became a member of Foxygen like a touring member, and is at a romantic relationship with co-founder Sam France. After personal disputes between her as well as the bandmembers, she was release in 2013, and she had written a post revealing every one of the inter-band crisis, leading fans to believe that Foxygen got split up. Globelamp’s debut record, Star Dust, created completely by Le Fey and offering musical efforts from France, premiered by Gazelle Recordings in 2014. This is accompanied by The Orange Shine, that was originally released on cassette in 2015 by Psychedelic Thriftstore Recordings/Lolipop Information before it had been provided a wider discharge in 2016 by Wichita Recordings.
