A collaboration between keyboardist Jason Mls and turntablist DJ Reasoning, Global Noize produce funky, dance-oriented music that mixes world fusion and jazz. They released their debut self-titled record on Shanachie in 2008. 3 years afterwards, Global Noize came back using a Prayer for the earth. In 2013, Global Noize released Sly Reimagined: The Music of Sly as well as the Family members Rock. An homage to funk star Sly Rock, the album highlighted performances from vocalists Falu and non-a Hendrix, aswell as trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, saxophonist Jay Rodriguez, yet others.
