GIVERS

Lafayette, Louisiana-based indie rockers the GIVERS formed in the past due 2000s across the abilities of Kirby Campbell (drums/examples/vocals), Taylor Guarisco (electric guitar/vocals), Tif Lamson (vocals/percussion/ukulele), Josh Leblanc (bass), and William Henderson (synths/examples/vocals). Steeped in the lifestyle and customs of their indigenous Louisiana, the music group’s self-described “Afro-beat, dancey jeans, indie pop like music,” which depends heavily in the spirited back-and-forth vocals of Lamson and Guarisco, continues to be compared to rings like Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors, and Mates of Condition. The group’s eponymous debut EP found its way to 2009 on Valcour Information. In 2011, after changing Henderson with Nick Stephan, the music group released its full-length debut In Light on Glassnote. Still colourful but much more serious in shade, the brand new Kingdom LP implemented in 2015.
