Freebass

Conceived in 2004 by English bass legends Peter Hook (Pleasure Division, New Purchase), Gary “Mani” Mounfield (Rock Roses, Primal Scream), and Andy Rourke (the Smiths), Manchester-based alternative rock and roll outfit Freebass didn’t bypass to laying anything right down to tape until very much later on in the decade. By enough time the group’s debut EP (Two Worlds Collide) appeared, Rourke acquired amicably parted methods using the group and relocated to NEW YORK, and the music group acquired added vocalist Gary Briggs towards the combine. It’s a lovely Lifestyle, Freebass’ full-length debut, found its way to 2010 on Hacienda Information, and highlighted a heady mixture of modern rock and roll, dub, and North soul.
