Biography
For Squirrels formed in Gainesville, FL, in early 1993. The initial lineup of Jack port Vigliatura IV on vocals, guitarist Travis Tooke, drummer Jay Russell and bassist Costs White performed around the region, and released Baypath Rd. in early 1994. After travels of the East Coastline and the discharge from the EP Plymouth, For Squirrels agreed upon with Sony/550 Music. The group after that changed Russell with Jack port Greigo and in middle-1995 documented their major-label debut, Example. On Sept 8, nevertheless, the band’s truck blew a car tire and overturned along the way back again to Florida from a gig at CBGB’s in NY. Vigliatura, Light, and supervisor Tim Bender had been wiped out, while Tooke and Greigo also experienced accidents. Example, released significantly less than a month afterwards, received frustrating support from university radio. Tooke and Greigo had been encouraged and made a decision to continue the music group with high-school friend Andy Lord on bass.
