Led by songwriter Michael Fitzpatrick, Fitz & the Tantrums brew up a retro sound motivated by Motown and Stax Reports. Fitzpatrick initially produced the Tantrums being a neo-soul single project; having bought an old cathedral organ, he discovered that it helped motivate his songwriting. While documenting a single EP, he recruited a vintage college friend, Adam King, to include horn arrangements towards the materials. The lineup grew following that, using the Tantrums ultimately learning to be a co-ed septet. Music for a SPLIT UP, Vol. 1 proclaimed the group’s first discharge in ’09 2009, and Fitz & the Tantrums going to South by Southwest the next calendar year, stirring up some sector buzz along the way. This year 2010, the music group returned using its initial full-length work, Pickin’ In the Parts, featuring the one “MoneyGrabber.” Their second studio room record, the Tony Hoffer-produced A LOT MORE THAN Just a Wish, made an appearance in 2014. The album’s lead one, “Out of My Group,” reached number 1 on Billboard’s Choice graph. In 2016, Fitz & the Tantrums came back using a self-titled third record, featuring creation from Jesse Shatkin (Sia, Tegan & Sara), Joel Small (Ellie Goulding, Lorde), and Ricky Reed (Jessie J, Jason Derulo). Included on the record was the business lead one “Handclap.”
