Field Manuals began in 2012 seeing that the solo saving task of Brooklyn singer/songwriter Benedict Kupstas. Thoughtful and eccentric, his music comes with an experimental character to it, mixing warm, jangling indie pop using a pastiche of field recordings from his numerous travels. His 1st release beneath the Field Manuals name was a two-song solitary on his Bandcamp web page called THERE’S ALWAYS Someone Waiting SOMEPLACE ELSE. Over another 2 yrs, the project started to grow right into a music group as Kupstas recruited numerous musicians from the neighborhood Brooklyn scene to become listed on him. The revolving lineup contains current and previous members of functions like Helado Negro, Cloud Turns into Your Hands, Landlady, and Long term Wife, amongst others. Their debut record was documented over many years in Brooklyn and combined in upstate NY by veteran engineer D. Wayne Goodwin (Devo, Kaki Ruler, Leverage Versions). Called after a Richard Brautigan poem, Boo, Forever premiered in November 2014.
