Esther Williamson Ballou

After early study for the piano and organ, Ballou attended Bennington College, Mills College, as well as the Juilliard College of Music. She later on toured like a pianist with many dance businesses and made up ballets for Louise Kloepper and José Limón. As an educator, Ballou created experimental options for teaching theory at the faculty level.
