NEW YORK (by method of Indiana) trombonist/composer Erick Storckman’s primary interest is jazz, but continues to be known to pleasant other designs into his own performing, namely bebop, Dixieland, R&B, salsa, as well as ska. Furthermore to developing and fronting his very own septet in 1999, Storckman may be the business lead trombonist and a adding composer with Diane Moser’s Composers Big Music group, and has documented and toured with ska fans the Toasters (showing up on a set of albums, 1990’s This Weapon for Hire and 1992’s NY Fever), aswell much like jazz vocalist Marlene Verplank, the Ed Palermo Big Music group, Cab Calloway, the Temptations, the Four Tops, as well as the O’Jays. In June of 2000, Storckman released his single debut, Scrapbook, around the Orchard label.
