El Cuarteto de Nos

Uruguayan rock-band El Cuarteto de Nos was shaped by brothers Roberto and Ricardo Musso (both in guitars and vocals), bassist Nicolas Tavella, and drummer Alavaro Pintos. The four-piece action released its self-titled debut record in 1984 and obtained a popularity in the country’s underground circuit because of the choreography included to their displays, which often included aluminum-made outfits. Through the ’80s, two various other albums arrived: Soy una Arveja (1986) and Emilio Garcia (1988). Their lyrics selected the interest of critics, who defined them as deeply irreverent, or even erotic. In 1994, the music group released Otra Navidad en las Trincheras, that was among the best-selling albums in the united states during the 10 years. Two years afterwards, Un Cuarteto de Nos’ tune “Un Día Que Artigas Se Emborracho” (included on 1996’s Un Tren Bala) was censored since it was regarded an insult to Jose Artigas, one of the most illustrious patriot of Uruguay. In 2006, Un Cuarteto de Nos released Raro, that was made by Bajofondo Tango Club’s Juan Campodónico. Initial one “Yendo a la Casa de Damian” was nominated on the 2007 Latin Grammy Honours.
