The founding members of Downsyde, Scott Griffiths and Shahbaz Rind — better known by their MC titles Optamus and Dyna-mikes — got their start young. At age group 16 these were tossing suburban hip-hop celebrations in their house of Perth and in 1996 they came into a local skill pursuit. Their hometown followers were dedicated, a lot in order that their 1st recording, a demonstration on cassette known as Behind the Bucket, were able to sell all the 200 copies they produced within weeks. Recognizing that these were onto a very important thing, they collected jointly some likeminded hip-hop supporters to greatly help them record their danceable party raps. Initial had been D. Reutens (who MCed as Dazastah) and Damien Allia (who DJed as Armee). They released their initial record, Epinonimous, separately in 2000. After that came a lot more brand-new associates: Matt Cheetham, aka Cheeky, on key pad aswell as loops and examples and Salvatore Pizzata on drums and miscellaneous percussion. After putting your signature on to Hydrofunk, the Resin Canines’ label, they released the Gifted Lifestyle EP in 2002 as well as the Land from the Giants record a year from then on. Pursuing that, they turned to the Obese label operate by Pegz for another EP, Les Fortunate, and another record, When the Dirt Settles, both released in 2004.
