Doris Akers

b. 1923, Missouri, USA, d. 26 July 1995, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Akers’ most effective period arrived after she relocated to LA, California, USA. Because the creator and leader from the Sky Pilot Choir, she was the pioneer of what became referred to as the Doris Akers/Sky Pilot Audio, discussing her distinctive design of directing and set up that was consequently very much imitated. With the 80s and 90s she became movie director of music at Elegance Temple Deliverance chapel in Minneapolis, before her loss of life from malignancy at age 72.
