Die Seer

Austrian schlager music group Die Seer broke to mainstream success within their homeland in the middle-2000s, when their albums began regularly charting within the very best Five, sometimes getting number 1. Though most very easily classified as just schlager, the band’s design is exclusive, incorporating areas of Austro-pop aswell as volksmusik; possibly the most accurate classification will be volkstümlicher schlager. Created in 1995, Die Seer are led by songwriter/guitarist Fred Jaklitsch (aka Alfred); additional bandmembers consist of Astrid Wirtenberger (vocals), Sabine Holzinger (aka Sassy; vocals), Friedrich Hampel (aka Spitz; vocals), Thomas Eder (acoustic guitar), Manfred Temmel (acoustic guitar), Jürgen Leitner (accordion), Alois Huber (keyboards), Dietmar Kastowsky (bass), and Wolfgang Luckner (drums). Die Seer released their debut full-length recording, Über’n Observe, in 1996 around the impartial label Tyrolis, accompanied by Auf + der Gams Nach (1998). The band’s third recording, Baff! (1999), presented their first strike track, “Wild’s Wasser,” a longtime lover favorite. Gössl implemented in 2000, and in 2001 Die Seer released their initial record to graph, Guats G’fühl, which peaked at amount 26 in its third week of discharge, logging 16 weeks for the Austrian albums graph overall.
