After busting a move from Detroit to NEW YORK with regard to hoping to break it in to the hip-hop field, Detroit Gemstone had no proven fact that a hand filled with displays, a demo, and person to person would result in recognition from famous brands Jay-Z and Russel Simmons. Producing a deal with Charges Record in 1999, Detroit Gemstone released his initial single, “The APPEAR,” down the road that year.
