Defeater

Boston, Massachusetts hardcore group Defeater originally formed in 2004, and, after some lineup adjustments, ultimately landed on vocalist Derek Archambault, guitarists Jay Maas and Jake Woodruff, bassist Mike Poulin, and drummer Joe Longobardi by 2008. Conceptually-inclined from the starting, their debut recording, Travels (2008), launched a narrative which chronicled an unnamed, post-WWII working-class family members and their challenging, dysfunctional relationships. In the beginning authorized to Topshelf, Defeater relocated to Bridge Nine Information release a their following two LPs, Clear Times & Sleepless Evenings (2011) and Characters House (2013), each which provided a fresh section in the imaginary family’s overarching story. In 2015, the music group authorized with Epitaph Information release a their fourth recording, Abandoned.
