Crywolf

Crywolf (given birth to Justin Taylor Phillips) got his begin in 2012 with dubstep just since it was removing in america, crafting remixes and honing his abilities. The Raleigh indigenous was raised in a big musical family, shifting from NEW YORK to Hong Kong and to NY, where he went to university as an economics main. Though music began as a spare time activity, he eventually remaining college to pursue it full-time. As the EDM picture grew bloated with phoned-in beats and soulless hedonism, Phillips transformed his sound, deciding on personal artistic manifestation and psychological connection over big drops. His 1st EPs — 2013’s Spirits and 2014’s Angels — integrated some big beats and pop-EDM flourishes, but within a cocoon of atmospherics and reflective lyrics that arranged him aside. The first flavor of his eventual development was included with his break up EP with Canadian digital musician Ianborg, 2014’s Runaway (as well as the Remixes collection the next 12 months). He released two additional albums on his Okami label in 2015: the atmospheric trip of Dysphoria as well as the lush, sweeping Cataclasm, that was documented in Iceland.
