The Cab

Inspired by teams such as FALLOUT Boy and Stress in the Disco, NEVADA quintet the Cab was founded by then-students Alex DeLeon (vocals) and Funds Colligan (bass) in 2005 following the two fulfilled during senior high school. The duo started documenting demos and broadcasting them via MySpace, nonetheless it quickly became obvious that a total music group would be necessary for them to understand their complete potential. DeLeon and Colligan recruited Alex Johnson (drums), Alex Marshall (piano), and Ian Crawford (acoustic guitar), started playing displays locally, and developed a group of fans before sending a demonstration to Panic in the Disco’s Spencer Smith. Smith was therefore impressed using the music group that he helped them indication towards the Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen label in 2007. The Cab’s debut recording, Whisper Battle, was made by Matt Squire and released in 2008, accompanied by many national trips alongside famous brands Hey Monday as well as the Hush Sound.
