Cowboy Buddha

Cowboy Buddha bridge the distance between garage area punk and country-rock, pulling inspiration from both Minutemen and Johnny Money. Shaped in 1995 by Fletcher Harrington after he shifted from Mississippi to California, the music group resided across the Orange Region area and started with coffeehouse shows. Since the music group emphasized original materials rather than addresses, it battled commercially and subsequently underwent several lineup adjustments. Harrington, a vocalist/songwriter, continued to be the group’s stable leader over time. Cowboy Buddah released two tapes — Bone tissue Crushing Cowboy Like and Truckstop Zen — and two brief CDs — Six Strand Raw-Hide Rope and Rootless, Godless & Totally free — before compiling a lot of the tracks from these EPs onto Weapons Ammo Bait Film Presents Snack foods Maps in 1999. The music group released Cement Fish pond a year later on, by which period it held a reliable lineup made up of Harrington, Gary Hollon, Robb Forby, and Jim Schmerbauch. In past due 2001 Harrington released his debut single album, Eyes burning & Knuckles Sore.
