Corcovado

Corcovado started being a lo-fi experimental indie duo in Grand Rapids, MI, releasing a self-titled album in 1999. In 2002, the music group re-formed being a five-piece from the advancement of cellar jams. Their audio turned from the easy buildings of demo-quality wish pop to a fuller, more technical indie shoegaze. The brand new interplay of Tina Louise (vocals, bells), Rebecca truck der Leest (vocals, electric guitar), Matt Kurlinski (bass), Mike Newhouse (electric guitar), and Mike Christe (drums) conjured up the affects of Seely and Sonic Youngsters. Corcovado begun to gig around Grand Rapids in the summertime of 2002, and documented in early of January 2003. The Arrows, Spirits and Doorways EP premiered July of 2003.
