That they had a good, weighty attack on tempo acoustic guitar and a business lead player who was simply skilled in a variety of idioms, similarly proficient at droning fuzztone acoustic guitar (“Grapes of Wrath” or crunchy folk-rock (“Summer season Should BRING JOY”), and their drummer held things shifting aggressively.
