b. Charles Blake Cochran, 25 Sept 1872, Sussex, Britain, d. 31 January 1951, London, Britain. Britain’s leading theatrical manufacturer of musicals, revues, has, operettas, therefore much more through the 20s and 30s. Nevertheless, Cochran’s most well-known association was using the ‘Get good at’ himself, Noël Coward. After appealing Coward to create what and music for the revue On USING THE Dance in 1925, through the following nine years Cochran created a number of the composer’s most famous works, including THIS SEASON Of Elegance, Bitter Lovely, Cavalcade, Personal Lives, Cochran’s 1931 Revue, Terms And Music, and Discussion Piece. Early in 1951 Cochran was involved with a terrible incident at his London house. He scalded himself whilst going for a shower and was taken up to the Westminster Medical center, but passed away on 31 January.
