A vocal/instrumental R&B trio from Chicago, Illinois, USA, the Pet cats ‘N’ Jammers are one of the better representatives from the 40s jive/vocal tranquility organizations who created a fusion audio of jazz, pop, and blues in the immediate post-war years. People had been Adam Lambert (acoustic guitar), Sylvester Hickman (bass), and Expenses Samuels (piano, business lead vocals), and each acquired experience in various other groups before arriving jointly in 1945. The trio was shortly highlighted on Dave Garroway’s radio display, which brought these to the attention from the recently formed Mercury Information. They had instant success using their very first discharge, ‘I Cover The Waterfront’ (#3 3 R&B), and in addition had considerable achievement with ‘Interface Wines’ (# 5 5 R&B) in 1946. The Felines ‘N’ Jammers still left Mercury in 1949 and recorded for Magic Information as the Costs Samuels Trio. The group split up shortly soon after, when Samuels transferred to Minnesota.
