Folk-pop-styled CCM performer Carolyn Arends 1st attracted attention on her behalf songwriting skills, penning strikes for famous brands Carman, Susan Ashton and Michael James, for whom she authored the smash “Love Will.” Like a single designer, she debuted in 1995 using the LP I COULD Hear You, a significant pop strike in her indigenous Canada, where she reached the very best Five using the singles “Seize your day,” “This is actually the Stuff” as well as the name monitor; the record also was effective on American Christian channels and earned considerable airplay inside the adult alternative format. Nominated for Greatest New Artist in the 1996 Dove Honours, Arends came back in 1997 with Experience Free, which released the CHR chart-topper “New Year’s Day time.” The follow-up, 1999’s ANYWHERE NEAR THIS MUCH I AM AWARE, was Arends’ most personal recording, reflecting within the delivery of her child and the loss of life of good friend High Mullins. 2000 noticed the discharge of Seize your day and Other Tales, a component greatest-hits, component live recording also offering two new tunes.
