Camu Tao

Struck straight down in his prime, the past due underground rapper Camu Tao was an integral artist around the Definitive Jux label until 2008 when he died of lung malignancy. Given birth to Tero Smith in Columbus, OH, Camu Tao arrived up with the town’s MHz team, which also presented maker Rjd2 and rapper Cage. With Cage, he created the Nighthawks, who launch their self-titled debut recording in 2002 around the Def Jux imprint Eastern Meeting. A 12 months later he’d partner with rapper Metro for S.A. Smash and their recording Smashy Trashy, that was released that 12 months on Definitive Jux appropriate. Over the following few years he’d make a lot of visitor appearances and deal with creation on many Def Jux produces, along with liberating a small number of underground mixtapes. He was completing his debut single recording when lung malignancy took his existence on, may 25, 2008, just one single month lacking his 31st birthday. The posthumous recording, Ruler of Hearts, premiered in 2010.
