Simple jazz supergroup BWB feature the talents of guitarist Norman Dark brown, saxophonist Kirk Whalum, and trumpeter Rick Braun. They released their debut record, Groovin’, in 2002. In 2013, BWB came back making use of their sophomore full-length, Individual Nature, which highlighted instrumental jazz reworkings of tracks by Michael Jackson. The group’s third studio room record, 2016’s Braun-produced BWB, included support from percussionist Lenny Castro, keyboardist Hamilton Hardin, bassist Nathaniel Kearney, Jr., among others.
