Bull & the Matadors

Bull & the Matadors were a Chicago-based group comprising Wayne Lafayette Parks (a.k.a. Jamell Bull Parks), Milton Hayes, and Wayne Otis Like. (Another group called Bull & the Un Capalaras documented for Bell Information in 1971-72 but certainly are a different team.) Bull & the Matadors obtained in 1968 on Toddlin’ City Information with “The Funky Judge,” a raucous, hard-edge novelty having a sinister defeat; the minor strike developed by Andre Williams and Leo Hutton was an excellent party record. The follow-up, “Move using the Groove,” under no circumstances ignited. Len Ron Hanks, who later on teamed with Zane Gray to compose “Back Love Once again,” co-wrote the music with Charles Nealey and Karl Tareleton. Parks, Hayes, and Like wrote both edges of “YOU SELECT” b/w “Like DROP,” however the 1969 concern flopped also, plus they faded through the scene.
