Exeter, Devon, England-based indie rock and roll clothing formed in 1999 by Kieran Scragg (vocals/acoustic guitar) and his cousin Joel Scragg (bass), with Ella Lewis (drums) put into the line-up shortly afterwards. The trio started playing gigs around Exeter before liberating the seven-track Airborne EP independently Pixel Information label. Neil Reed (keyboards) was put into the line-up in the brand new millennium, helping provide an added pounds to the music group’s music, which all too often wilted beneath the sheer power of Kieran Scragg’s vocals. The quartet authorized a recording agreement with Fantastic Plastic material and produced their debut for the label in Dec 2001 using the 7-in . single ‘Internet casino’. They documented The Picture Display with experienced makers Michael Brauer and Chris Sheldon, completing function in past due 2002 and lastly releasing the recording the next March. Offering some unforgettable melodies as well as the brand soaring vocals of main songwriter Kieran Scragg, the recording designated the Buffseeds out among the year’s perhaps most obviously new acts.
