Brave Irene

In later 2009, indie pop star Rose Melberg (of Tiger Snare, the Softies, Go Sailor, and several fine single albums) formed a fresh band called Daring Irene. Composed of close friends from her followed hometown of Vancouver, the quintet appeared towards the swirling pop of New Zealand as well as the Traveling Nun label for motivation. Featuring Melberg on electric guitar and vocals, Caitlin Gilroy on keyboards, electric guitar, tambourine, and vocals, Jessica Wilkin on body organ, Amanda Pezzutto on bass and vocals, and Laura Hatfield on drums, the group documented its self-titled debut EP with manufacturer John Collins at JC/DC Studios. Released by Slumberland in March of 2011, the EP displays Melberg to maintain fine songwriting type and the music group to be ideal backing on her behalf wonderful tone of voice. The music group splintered following the recordings had been produced, with Hatfield shifting to Sweden for college and Wilkin decamping to India, departing the potential customers of Daring Irene carrying on on as an organization questionable.
