Footwear Electric may be the alter ego of guitarist and vocalist Jesse “The Devil” Hughes, who have formed the eclectic garage area rock and roll duo Eagles of Loss of life Metallic along with longtime friend and Queens from the Rock Age group frontman Josh Homme in 2008. The Greenville, SC indigenous, who also goes on the name “Fantastic Tool” and cites Small Richard as you of his biggest affects, is well known for his enthusiastic dance movements and unstable stage behavior. Honkey Kong, his dancefloor-ready, electro-rock, single debut beneath the Footwear Electric powered moniker, was made by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Setting) and released in Sept, 2011 on Dangerbird Information.
