Boothroyd

Mining similarly dark experimental territory as Forest Swords, Haxan Cloak, and Vessel, producer Boothroyd (name Peter Boothroyd) was raised in Manchester, England and considered making music to ease his boredom. After shifting to London for college, he began focusing on his music in earnest, uploading songs that captured the hearing of Tri Position Records, who authorized him in March 2014. That June, the music “NYC” provided a glance of Boothroyd’s demanding, percussion-heavy Idle Hours EP. Produced and blended with inexpensive equipment for any purposefully distorted appear to be a badly compressed YouTube video, the EP found its way to September 2014.
