Big Bang

Big Bang was the single alias of London-based Italian producer Simone Serritella, who was simply also fifty percent of jazz-house duo Cuica. THE BEST Bang sound mixed swinging Latin jazz rhythms with shiny key pad melodies and soulful vocals, and was frequently grouped as “damaged defeat” or “nu-jazz.” Serritella’s initial one as Big Bang, “Dribbling”/”Colours,” came on U.K. label Significantly Out Recordings in 2000. Early in 2001, Serritella founded the Arision label, which released nearly all his following recordings. Debut full-length Arriving Shortly made an appearance in 2002, along with 12″ singles “Higher” and “Pressure.” The remix collection Rework Task implemented in 2004, formulated with mixes by 4hero, IG Lifestyle, and Domu. A set of 2005 singles, “Smile inside your Eye” and “Lovely con Sour,” preceded second correct album Method in Jazz, which made an appearance in 2006 along with another remix collection, Necessary Selection. No more Big Bang recordings surfaced, and Serritella finished Arision in 2011, consequently relocating to NEW YORK.
