Ben Nichols

Vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Ben Nichols may be the frontman for the Memphis alt-country music group Lucero. Lucero created in the past due ’90s as well as the music group offers released a half-dozen roughly albums since 2001, each sketching compliment for the group’s gritty, rootsy, and nearly punk method of country-rock as well as for Nichols’ smoky, psychological vocal design. During breaks from Lucero, Nichols started recording even more acoustic-based materials, and an EP having a stripped-down trio of Nichols on classical guitar, Rick Steff (Kitty Power) on accordion and piano, and Todd Beene (Glossary) on pedal metal and guitar made an appearance under Nichols’ name in ’09 2009 from Liberty & Lament Information. Titled THE FINAL Pale Light in the Western, the EP’s seven tunes are all predicated on characters and circumstances attracted from Cormac McCarthy’s book Blood Meridian.
