Citing the three B’s (beer, bongs and boredom) as inspiration, vocalist Ben Hogg and guitarist Vince Burke created self-described “Grassroots Piss-Metal” strap Beaten Back again to Pure within the condition of Virginia, through the sweltering summer time of 1998. 2 yrs later, soon after documenting the “Two times Barrel Blasphemy” demonstration and inviting second guitarist Eric Sundt, bassist Tim “Slam” Jacobs, and drummer Chuck Ember, Beaten Back again to Pure began documenting their first recording, 2001’s Southern Apocalypse, with Today May be the Day time mastermind Steve Austin performing as maker. Relentless touring another album entitled THE FINAL Refuge from the Sons of Bitches adopted in 2002, and, after changing Sundt with fresh guitarist Richie Scharr, the music group concentrated its energies on recording number three. This might emerge in 2004 via brand-new record label This Dark Reign (the band’s initial two outings having been released by U.K.-structured Retribute Records), and was entitled Burning South.
