Barnett & Coloccia

A gathering of two of American experimental music’s finest thoughts, Barnett & Coloccia comprises Mamiffer’s Trust Coloccia and Oakeater’s Alex Barnett. Apart from this task, each person in the duo is usually prolific like a collaborator and separately: Barnett spent some time working with Mammifer and Locrian and embarked on the busy solo profession in ’09 2009 with produces on imprints including Catholic Tapes, Nihilist, and DRAFT. In the mean time, Coloccia works the SIGE label with her spouse Aaron Turner (also the spouse of Mammifer) and provides collaborated with Boris, Home of Low Lifestyle, and Daniel Menche. For Barnett & Coloccia, the set made a decision to record jointly in person instead of collaborate online regardless of the thousands of mls separating them. A three-day program at Vancouver’s Otic Audio studio and additional blending at Seattle’s AVAST! studio room led to the duo’s debut, Retrieval, which spanned sound, digital, and psychedelic components. Blackest Ever Dark released the record past due in 2013.
