A singer/guitarist and folk-influenced songwriter, Barbara Keith’s curious profession began when she was discovered at Greenwich Village’s famous Café Wha?. Her initial appearance on record is at 1968, with her history vocals and among her songs showing up in the self-titled debut from Kangaroo. Verve Information released the to begin two self-titled albums in 1969. Some critics fell deeply in love with the record but so far as product sales the album proceeded to go nowhere. Her second self-titled record — released by Reprise in 1972 — combined Keith with manufacturer Doug Tibbles. Keith and Tibbles wedded and shortly became unhappy using the music sector.
