Bailey

Lancashire, U.K.-structured singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ian Bailey 1st attracted attention in the Lancashire band MellowDrive, which shaped in 1999 and included Bailey about vocals, his brother Phil Bailey about drums, Jim Mumford about bass, and Andy Bagwell. The group documented a low-tech DIY recording and also monitored at Gary Hall’s Voodoo Areas studio room in Preston, where Bailey came back when he started focus on a single project. The ensuing recording, co-produced by Bailey and Hall and entitled Bailey, premiered in 2005 for the recently created Northern Sunlight Information label, and garnered essential acclaim because of its lush experience and tone.
