Amor de Días

Formed in ’09 2009 by Alasdair MacLean from the Clientele and Spanish vocalist/instrumentalist Lupe Núñez-Fernández from the indie pop duo Pipas, Amor de Dias, which means “love of days,” started assembling in secret in 2008 on evenings and weekends. Bolstered with a pit team of seasoned music artists like Louis Philippe, Damon & Naomi, and Gary Olson, the music group spent 3 years assembling their Merge debut, a breezy mixture of tropicalia, British chamber pop, and psychedelic folk known as Street from the Like of Times, before liberating it in springtime 2011. The duo’s following album was documented a lot more quickly (during the period of nine times working with maker Brian O’Shaughnessy) and by using the Clientele’s bassist and drummer (Wayne Hornsey and Howard Monk, respectively.) THE HOME at Sea premiered by Merge in early 2013.
