Aerialist

Aerialist is a spacy, eclectic synth-driven task helmed by Washington, D.C. indie picture regular Lary Hoffman. Previously a member of the indie rock and roll trio known as 5 Condition Drive, he started Aerialist in 1997 to test out synthesizers and brand-new wave melodies. Joined up with by Stevie Treichel (also previously of 5 Condition Drive) and offering beats and examples by guest manufacturer Michael Ivey of acclaimed choice rap group Basehead, Aerialist’s self-released debut record made an appearance in 1998. Hoffman and Treichel started executing live Aerialist gigs throughout the Washington, D.C./Arlington, Virginia region, sporting a far more rock-oriented audio. The duo released another Aerialist record in 1999, which used instruments such as for example melodica and tamboura. Following second record, Hoffman began documenting solo Aerialist materials mainly using vibraphone, synths, and drums. He performed solo concerts within this design in 2000, and documented a few music that he released on CD-Rs marketed at concerts. A pc crash in 2001 place the task on indefinite hiatus as he became active with his profession and personal lifestyle, although he added vibraphone to recordings by the wonder Pill as well as the Gena Rowlands Music group. In 2014, he started working on brand-new Aerialist material, making vibraphone-laden paths on his pc. Lunar-themed recording Moon Patrol premiered digitally in November of 2015.
