West Coast loss of life metal clothing Abysmal Dawn formed in 2003 round the skills of guitarist/vocalist Charles Elliott, guitarist Jamie Boulanger, bassist Carlos Arriola, and drummer Terry Barajas. The Los Angeles-based quartet’s exclusive mixture of thrash, grindcore, and dark metal was initially heard on the 2004 demonstration that circulated through the entire metallic community to very much fanfare. The band’s full-length debut, From Ashes, found its way to 2005, accompanied by the Relapse-released Programmed to take in 2008.
