The sounds of progressive Uk rock were imported to Spain by Barcelona-based quintet, Dracma. Shaped in 1993 by keyboards/Grand piano participant Jordi Amela, electrical, traditional and 12-string guitarist Jordi Prats and ex-Rara Avis drummer J.L. Pacheco, the music group has steadily extended its sphere of impact. Their self-produced debut recording, Limits premiered by Italian label, Mellow in early 1994, while their second outing, Good Stormy Weather, premiered by French label Musea 2 yrs later on. Dracma experienced substantial growth before carrying out its first displays. The initial trio practiced to get a yr before adding bassist/traditional guitarist Jordi Plenas and Pedro J. Jimenez, who got previously performed in Pacheco’s music group, Hamelin, as business lead vocalist. Using the departure of Pacheco in January 1994, his part was assumed by Eduardo Camblor. The previous drummer for Medianoche, Camblor continued to be using the group until Apr 1996, when Pole Olivier, who got used Plenas in Kaplan, changed him. Dracma paid homage to its very best impact when it documented a edition of “The Lamb Lays Down on Broadway” to get a forthcoming multi-artist tribute recording to English prog rock-band, Genesis.
